MAKEUP MUST HAVES

Biggest apologies for not doing any blog posts for a while. I've had a crazy couple of months with one thing or another. I've had so many questions about my make up products over Instagram and my snapchat so finally I'm really excited to share them all with you.

Firstly I'm going to start with my face makeup, I stick to the same foundation and concealer because it suits my skin and I've had no problems with them. Most of the products I use are from MAC cosmetics. I use studio fix fluid foundation in colours NC37 NC40 or NC42 depending on my current tan situation lol. I pair it up with prolongwear liquid concealer in colour NC20 I feel these products really work well together giving me a matte finish which is how I like to look, I'm not one for dewy skin. Occasionally I will add a bit of prep&prime highlighting pen either over the top of my concealer or underneath, this just a sheer wash of colour used as a highlight or underneath to brighten areas of the face. Of course I use my beloved beauty blender to blend in my concealer I have no idea what I would do without it.

To contour I am currently using Anastasia Beverly Hills powder pallet in medium-tan. Little product goes a long way with this palette. I wouldn't have chosen a powder palette to contour with however I had it brought as a present and I've really took to it.

Highlighting is a biggy for me I use many different highlighters as I can never stick to one. Vanilla pigment from MAC is amazing although it can congregate in one area if it is not applied evenly. 10k highlight which is also in the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit is a golden warm tone and very suttle. Other highlighting recommendations are, Urban Decay Naked Illuminated in colour luminous, MAC Soft&Gentle and MAC Global Glow.

The famous winged eyeliner personally I feel this is one of the hardest things in make up to master. MAC fluid line in blacktrack is my favourite liner, I highly recommend it if your able to use it quickly. Maybeline do a gel eyeliner which is of the same consistency.

Hello nude lips... I'm a sucker for nude lips you will not see me in any other colour I just feel odd and out of place if my lips aren't nude. MAC Boldly Bare and Dervish lip liner are the only ones I use. There is literally a shade difference between them. I pair them up with either Honey Love matte lipstick, or Hue satin lipstick. I don't have a preferred favourite which ever one I pick out my make up bag first is what I use. I then apply a Lipglass in Paper Lanter, or Boundlessly Beige all MAC.

For Blush I use a mineralize one from MAC called warm soul, its so sparkly and applies onto the skin so smoothly. Occasionally I add a tiny bit of Melon pigment MAC onto the apples of my cheeks again to just make it extra sparkly. Personally a great combination if you don't go other the top.

As for skin care, I do not have a strict skin regime. I think my parents passed down good skin genes lol! My pores are tiny and I rarely get spots. With skincare I feel its trial and error like everything I suppose just about finding products that really suit your skin. I use two clean&clear products a blackhead scrub and dual action oil free moisturiser. They just really compliment my skin, my face feels fresh and revitalised after using them.

Lashes -141 eyelure I haven't found any which are as nice as these! My lashes are extra long so as far as mascara is concerned I just use a high street one any one I am drawn to really mainly go for loreal ones.

I've tried to cover all the questions I've recently been asked, if you have any please comment below or send to my snapchat ellesutton I am always happy to help
Thankyou Elle x

SMOKEYEYE

So this is my first ever blog post (be easy on me!) I know how infuriating it can be when you see someone wearing an outfit you want, or a make up look you'd love to try but not knowing where the hell to start looking for the products. The purpose of all my posts will be to give you the information, pros and cons of products i use clothing i buy and my fitness regime, now the boring bit is over i finally can start.

We all have that one favourite smokey eye and every Saturday my friends and boyfriend can gaurentee how i'm going to turn up to our date. All the eyeshadows i use to achieve this look are MAC; Rule, Swiss Chocolate, Embark and a Pigment Pot in Vanilla. Firstly Mac eyeshadows are the bomb they are easy to blend and long lasting, i wake up the next morning after a drunken night out with it all still perfectly applied. When buying these products you will probably be thinking OMG Rule is going to look awful Swiss Chocolate and Embark look the same this is a waste of money, don't panic, i thought exactly the same.

I apply Rule first to the majority of my eye avoiding the lid and brow bone i love this colour and sometimes wear it just with Vanilla Pigmant pot. It adds a warm tone to my smokey look which i like. I then add Swiss Chocolate to the same area blending as much as i can at the same time making sure rule is still visible. Lastly for the smoke i use Embark right in the crease of my lid this is the darkest colour. Then for my lid, i use a Pigment Pot in shade Vanilla. These things are unreal, they are so light and sparkly which goes really well with this look as all the other colours are matte finish. If there's one thing i can advise when applying a pigment is deffinetly use a paint pot underneath i use Layin' Low you can cover your whole eye with this colour as it is a nude tone, which is what i do after my foundation.

It makes the pigment stick (and its prolong-wear) as the texture of it is exactly like some what way glitter. I'm forever knocking them over and if you have nieces anything like mine keep them out of sight! They're below the £20 mark and last forever. I'm not good when it comes to make up brushes i really need to invest in some more. I use one brush for this look which is out of the Naked pallets by Urban Decay, i swear by this brush!

For the final touches, i use Mac Fluid Line eyeliner in colour Black Track applied with an angled brush which you can get from any make up store, along with 141 eyelashes by Eyelure, and a Rimmel pencil eyeliner in intense black.
A few handy tips: all Mac products are expensive, i know. The good thing with them is they last. When buying your eyeshadows by a 4 shadow pallet that way you will save money and can add an extra colour, which personally i would add Carbon to this look, but only if your confident on blending cause black can be tricky and stubborn! All the products i have added the website link. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. I will soon start to add step by step videos/pictures.
